This is most probably The Greenest Tea Garden in world, wherever you look; you will find only Green and Green and occassional blue hills hugged by white cloud.
Pathecherra Tea Estate was established in between 1850 to 1853 by Mcleod Group. Initially, there were 2 division named Pathecherra and Issacherra Divisions.In 1860 the then Management braught Diggoncherra under its control. In 1940, the Garden was sold to M/s P Shyam and Brothers. They were one of the Indian pioneers in tea industry. Mr J J Macdenil was the last manager of Mcleod Group. This garden is situated underneat of Borail range. Koomber Tea Estate is on east side and Martycherra Tea Estate is on west. Pathecherra is about 10 kilo Meters from Silchar Airport. Longitude 24.95 (N) and Latitude is 92.85 (E)
